Premium cigar producer CAO developed the CAO Gold line of handmade cigars for the mild cigar smoker that doesn’t want to sacrifice flavor. The CAO Gold Churchill is 7 inches in length with a 48-size ring size. CAO Gold comes packaged in cedar boxes of 20 cigars per box and has a small humidor pack to help keep the cigars fresh during shipping.

CAO Gold Churchill Taste, Strength and Draw

  • Taste - The CAO Gold Churchill has a nice creamy flavor. There’s a bit of a nutty flavor on the pallet. CAO Gold has hints of vanilla and just a slight earthy flavor. The cigar is not noticeably spicy.
  • Strength – CAO Gold Churchill is mild to medium in strength, slightly more to the mild side. When the cigar is first lit, it has a bit of a harsh taste giving the impression that is a fuller bodied cigar. After a few short minutes, the cigar mellows out and the creamy flavor takes over.
  • Finish – Towards the end of the smoke, the cigar becomes a bit harsher but not overly so. The Churchill burned evenly from start to finish. The wrapper of the cigar also becomes more oily to the touch as you smoke.
  • Draw – This cigar has a nice easy draw. Even though the draw is easy, it still maintains a good rich fulfilling smoke.

CAO Gold Churchill Appearance and Construction

The CAO Gold Churchill is a good-looking cigar with a Connecticut shade wrapper that’s has a bit more vanes than a lot of premium Connecticut shade wrapper. The wrapper is also a bit darker than some premium Connecticut shade wrappers. The wrapper is also thicker than most Connecticut shade wrappers and feels soft yet solid. Like most CAO cigars, the CAO Gold is expertly constructed and solid.

  • Manufactured in: Nicaragua
  • Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut shade
  • Binder: Ecuadorian
  • Filler: Nicaraguan
